I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and spent most of my life moving around, first to different countries and then multiple states, a welcome consequence of being part of an immigrant family trying to make it in the United States. Since I was usually the new kid on the block, I became interested in others' stories and generally the art of storytelling. From in front and behind the camera, I try to use the power of an individual's story to move hearts and minds.
